About the Compton Community Arts Survey:
Summary: The purpose of this survey is to gather information about the community's thoughts and perspectives on the role of arts and culture in building community and boosting the tourism economy in and around the city of Compton. Additionally, we aim to understand whether there is support for the establishment of a Compton Cultural Arts District. By collecting this data, we can make informed decisions and recommendations for the development of arts and cultural initiatives in the city.
Design: This project uses an online survey using Google Forms that consists of multiple-choice, ranked, and open-ended questions. Participants may be selected for follow-up interviews.
Participant Recruitment: Feel free to share the survey link with Your networks, including residents and community organizations, on social media and at local events. Participants have the chance to win a $50 gift card every month.
Data Collection: The project will collect responses from January 1, 2024 through June 30, 2024
Data Protection: The survey is anonymous, and participants' personal information is protected. However, participants may choose to share their contact information before submitting. Your data will never be sold, and every precaution will be taken to secure your data. Please contact marva@cakecutterinstitute.org with any questions or concerns.

About The Compton Arts Project
Mission: The Compton Arts Project ("CAP") aims to center arts and culture to build community and energize the tourism economy in the City of Compton and the surrounding ecosystem communities. We are an artist-led initiative powered by the Sēpia Artist Collective. CAP works in partnership with community stakeholders to achieve mutually identified goals and objectives that align with our mission, vision, and core values.
